Maruti Ciaz spotted with stock DRLs, RS Variant coming soon?
Maruti`s C-segment comeback vehicle the Ciaz was launched last year in September. The SX4 replacement proved to be quite a success for Maruti Suzuki. The Ciaz is currently the second highest selling sedan in the country, with the No. 1 spot occupied by Honda`s City, which sold 8,203 units in April 2015 followed by Maruti which delivered around 4,000 units of the Ciaz.
Maruti is trying hard to resurrect the sales of the Ciaz, while a few months back we had reported that an RS variant of the Ciaz was spotted testing. This time around another new variant of the sedan has been spotted inside Maruti`s factory in Manesar. This new Ciaz variant features LED DRLs fitted on the bumper below the headlamps. Other prominent changes include white racing stripes on the centre of the hood. The car in question is a black coloured Ciaz and to be honest this design doesn`t look very appealing. The DRLs also look like an after-market fitment and Maruti could have definitely done a better job.
The spied car doesn`t carry any other changes apart from the points we have mentioned above. There are no changes to the exteriors and the interiors too will remain intact as of now. Under the hood, the Ciaz is powered by a 1.3 litre DDiS diesel motor and a 1.4 litre k-series gasoline unit. The oil burner produces 90PS and 200Nm of twist while the petrol engine churns out 91bhp and 130Nm of torque.
