Maruti Baleno reaches dealerships ahead of launch on October 26th

The Maruti Baleno petrol variant will also be available with an automatic CVT transmission.

Maruti Baleno hatchback spied at dealer yard

Set to be launched on October 26th at Maruti Suzuki India’s premium outlet, Nexa, the company has started dispatching the premium hatchback to its exquisite Nexa showrooms. Since the premium range is being retailed at the Nexa showrooms, the company as of now has around 80 standalone outlets of Nexa across the country. A part of the company’s premium range, Baleno is a B segment hatchback and will be positioned above the company’s flagship model Swift.

As for the hatchback, the Baleno moniker is returning with the hatchback which was earlier used for a C segment sedan. Under the hood will be a 1.2 litre K-Series petrol engine and a Fiat sourced 1.3 litre DDiS oil burner. The petrol motor can pull off 84.3 PS along with 115 Nm and is claimed to return a mileage of 21.4 kmpl. On the other hand the 75 PS/ 190 Nm diesel motor is claimed to deliver an impressive mileage of 27.39 kmpl. The petrol range will have five variants including four manual and one automatic version. The Diesel line-up on the other hand will feature four manual trims only.

Vital standard features across the range comprises of anti-lock-braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution and dual airbags in front for the driver and co-passenger. Other fitments like automatic climate control, power folding and adjusting ORVMs, Bluetooth compatible music system, rear wiper and washer and rear parking sensors are offered on Delta and above variants.
