Mahindra Thar 2015 Model Launching In July

Mahindra Thar 2015

The Mahindra Thar will soon be getting a major update and its facelift will be brought to the Indian car market around 22nd July 2015. The popular off-roader has been due to get updated for a while now and enthusiasts will be happy to hear this news.

On the visual front, the exterior changes includes an all-new plastic-metal front bumper, fender extensions and bigger foot-rests that will come as standard on the top-end trim. The major update on the Mahindra Thar 2015 model will come in the side profile, where the canopy will now be tilted from the back.

On the interior front, the new Mahindra Thar`s dashboard will feature a new design and dual-tone setup (which is completely new). The air con vents will be round and finished in silver. The instrument cluster has also been updated featuring three separate chrome-ringed units making it feel more premium. The HVAC controls, steering wheel and handbrake lever has been directly sourced from the Bolero SUV. What’s good is that the seats will now be more comfortable and wider than before and the facelift will also get a beige coloured centre console that covers the hand brake, transfer case and the gear lever. It also houses two cup holders as well. So therefore, the interiors will be a major boost as compared to the outgoing model.

The Mahindra Thar facelift will remain unchanged on the mechanical front, deriving power from the same CRDe and the Di engines. With Mahindra & Mahindra stepping up the game with the recently updated Scorpio, the Thar is also expected to throw many of its rivals off track and become a best seller in the segment.
