With the launch of the upcoming Mahindra TUV300 inching closer the company has gone ahead and now teased the interiors of the compact SUV. The new compact SUV from Mahindra will be launching on the 10th of September. The new teaser image reveals the multi function steering wheel and instrument cluster of the TUV300. The Steering wheel is finished in black and gets a brushed silver lining to give it a premium look. The chunky looking unit houses the controls for the Bluetooth telephony and audio system, which confirms that these features will be provided on the higher variants.
The instrument cluster is a twin dial unit surrounded by chrome bezels. The small SUV from Mahindra has a rev counter which redlines at 5000 RPM, while the car`s cabin gets a black and beige treatment with ample doses of brushed silver inserts thrown in to give it a premium look. The vehicle is a 7-seater and will feature jump seats in the third row.
The Mahindra TUV300 will get its juice from a retuned mHawk 80 oil burner. While the power and torque figures haven`t been disclosed, the engine will be coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. An AMT unit could also be offered as an option. At the time of launch a four wheel drive variant will not be available, but the company could launch one at a later date. The Mahindra TUV300 has been inspired from a battle tank and looks like a rugged SUV though it has compact dimensions. When launched, it will rival the likes of the Ford Ecosport and Renault Duster. Prices for the SUV are expected to start from Rs. 6.5 lakh INR.
