Mahindra Nuvosport website goes live

Mahindra Nuvosport launch

All set to launch on 4th April, Mahindra upcoming compact SUV Nuvosport`s website has gone live. Nothing much has been revealed on the website other the car`s exterior images and the launch date.

The Mahindra Nuvosport is nothing but a rebadged Quanto with exterior and interior updates. The vehicle gets an all-new front end which gives it a sporty and aggressive look. It features a scooped bonnet with an air intake along with a new grille. A pair of new headlights adorn the front with LED DRLs housed above them. It gets a new front bumper with an integrated silver skid plate. The Nuvosport looks rugged with the all-black plastic cladding while the rear looks similar to the outgoing Quanto. There are a few minor changes to the rear which include a new set of clear lens taillights, a roof spoiler to make the rear end more appealing and a new spare wheel cover.

No information is available on the engine line-up, but reports suggest that Mahindra will plonk the new 1.5 litre engine that powers the TUV300. This engine produces 84 bhp of power and 230 Nm of torque mated to a five speed manual transmission. AN AMT variant could also be offered with this engine setup.

It will feature an updated instrument cluster, cruise control, music system with a touch screen display for the top-spec trims and much more.

Upon launch the Mahindra Nuvosport will rival the likes of the Mahindra TUV300, Ford Ecosport and Maruti Vitara Brezza. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 6.5 lakhs – 8.5 lakhs (ex-Showroom).
