Mahindra launches Rodeo UZO 125 Scooter in India
Priced affordably at only Rs. 47957 the new Rodeo UZO 125 is officially available in four colour options (Blazing Blue, Victory Violet, Colt Black and Racetrack Black) with eye catching graphics, aerodynamic design and color wheels. Clearly aimed at the younger segment of the market, this 125 cc scoot delivers 59 kmp/l and has some new features.
Users will love the fact that there is an external front fuelling port. Another pleasant surprise is a mobile charging point. Then you have a storage space with internal lighting. The dash includes odometer, trip meter, fuel indicator, tachometer and the speedometer as well as a high speed alarm, accelerometer and a clock. You can lock the scooter with a 4 in 1 key. There is a buzzer for the side stand, just in case. It does have a high ground clearance of 154 mm which might prove a bit higher for short statured ladies.
Mahindra claims the UZO is a new generation scooter for the next generation with the engine utilizing ATLA system and DCDI technologies. This results in better performance and lower maintenance. You have front telescopic suspension and heavier shocks for the rear. This means you can ride it on bumpy roads and dirt tracks without having to worry about your back.
Mr Viren Popli, Chief of Operations of Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd claimed that the UZO 125 creates new benchmarks in technology, features, performance, convenience and style, making it the most advanced model on Indian roads at that price. Mahindra Two Wheelers is part of the Mahindra Group with a net worth of USD 16.5 billion. Despite competition from existing majors Mahindra is upbeat about its scooters and motorcycles, pinning hopes on the UZO to capture a sizeable market segment.
