Mahindra KUV100 Snapped at Dealer’s Yard – Video
As Mahindra & Mahindra launches its youthful compact SUV- the KUV100 this January 15th, the vehicle gets spotted before its actual launch. The sub-4 metre compact SUV has been spied along with some others vehicles at a dealer’s yard, meaning the car has been dispatched prior to the actual launch. Here’s a sneak peak of the Mahindra KUV100’s exterior and interior features, engines and equipment. Mahindra KUV100 is being promoted as a sub-compact SUV, however the very look and design gives it the feel of a crossover or a hatchback on steroids.
Various design elements look similar to that of the Mahindra XUV500, most notably- the monocoque designed chassis. The robust bonnet, sturdy front end, chrome highlighted grille and bold character lines. Other exterior elements in the captured images show the rear windscreen viper, simple designed rear profile having wraparound tail lamps, rear spoiler placed above the boot lid and KUV badging.
Various new additions have been made like chrome highlights on door handles, black underbody cladding, sturdy front bumper, foglamps, and front skid plate. Coming to its interiors, the mini SUV has a six-seater configuration, the base of centre console has the handbrake lever to increase the leg space for the middle passenger in the front row and the gear-lever is attached to the dashboard.
Mahindra KUV100 gets power windows, driver seat height adjustment, front and rear arm rests, illuminated key-hole, cooled glove box, Piano Black centre console, multi-function steering wheel, sunglass holder, four speakers and two Tweeter Infotainment system.
On the safety front, it is equipped with ABS and EBD in all variants, it also has an engine immobilizer as well as driver and co-passenger airbags. The KUV100 gets its juice from the new mFalcon engine family which has both petrol and diesel units and is coupled with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox. The brand new 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 petrol motor bangs out 82bhp of power and 115Nm of twist; while the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 m oil burner generates 77bhp along with 190Nm of torque.
