Mahindra Centuro Mirzya edition launched

Mahindra 2 wheelers limited have launched a special edition of their popular commuter-luxury motorcycle, the Mahindra Centuro. Called the Centuro Mirzya special edition, the new motorcycle has been introduced to celebrate the Mahindra Group’s association with and upcoming bollywood movie – Mirzya, which has been directed by none other than Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

The special edition is based on the regular Mahindra Centuro motorcycle, and doesn’t get any modifications or tweaks on the mechanical side of things. As a result, the Centuro Mirzya edition is powered by Mahindra’s indigenously developed MCI-5 (Micro Chip ignited 5 curve) engine that is capable of churning out 8.4 BHP and a peak torque of 8.5 Nm. Features on offer include stylish alloy wheels, a car-like flip Key, LED Tail Lamps, and distinctive body graphics that have been added to make it stand out from the regular Centuros.

Mirzya is a bollywood movie based on the legendary and historical Punjabi folklore of Mirza and Sahiban. It is a modern day love story, and shows how the earlier idea of love has transformed to the present times. It is set up in the state of Rajasthan in the year 2016. The film director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra claims tha the Mahindra Centuro has been used extensively in the film by the lead actor. Hence, the team decided to partner with Mahindra 2 wheelers in order to release a special, and dedicated edition of the Centuro to mark and commemorate the upcoming movie.
