List of 7 Upcoming Car Launches This September

The festive season has arrived and car makers have lined up a swirl of new launches to pamper the consumers. The Indian auto market went through a rough patch for two continuous years, the industry is still recovering and from the new products on offer the pathway to improvement is visible.

The new product list has stunning range of cars that cater to the aspirations of those who are keen on sedans, SUV’s, luxury cars and crossovers. There is an overload of launches in September itself, which means so much in such a short span of time, since a fortnight has passed by. Let’s browse through the cars that will be launched in September 2014.

2015 Skoda Rapid:

Skoda Rapid is a sedan on everyone’s wish list; the 2015 car is scheduled to arrive on the 30th of September. There will be slight changes to the car`s exterior, and the 2015 Skoda Rapid will get the new 1.5 litre TDI engine which is also powering the new Polo. The engine will generate 105PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Reports state that the car could also get an automatic DSG gearbox used on the global product. Its fierce rivals are Volkswagen Vento, upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Honda City. The expected price range is Rs 7 to 10 lakhs.

The Duster is the only successful model in Renault India`s portfolio. The two-wheel drive variant of the Duster has been quite a success. To boost the buzz around the Duster brand Renault will be launching a 4-wheel drive variant of the Duster. The SUV will be powered by a 1.5 litre diesel engine that pumps out 110PS of power and 248Nm of twisting force. It will be launched this month with a price tag of Rs 12 to 13 lakhs, and it will compete with the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and Tata Safari.

The new Skoda Yeti has been launched on the 10th of September. The car was showcased for the first time at the prestigious Auto Expo, and has been given a new makeover. The new Yeti is redesigned to look more attractive; the styling is more aggressive and sophisticated. It is equipped with an efficient 2.0 litre diesel engine that churns 109.5PS and 250 Nm of twisting force coupled with a five speed manual gearbox. The 4WD drive version produces 320Nm of Torque from its 140PS motor. The new features are re-designed tail lights, tail gate, LED Day Time Running Lights (DRLs), bumpers and a new steering wheel.

Mercedes Benz GLA:

The GLA is a new luxury Crossover from the Mercedes Benz stable. It’s got a novel form of styling and interior décor, and is a threat to the BMW X1 and Audi Q3. It is a compact crossover car and sources have termed it to be one of the best looking compact crossover`s in its class. The car will be powered by a 1.6 litre petrol mill and a 2.2 litre diesel engine. The petrol car churns out 156PS and 250Nm of torque, while the diesel vehicle produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. The power trains are coupled with a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The launch date is 30th of September and the Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover will be priced around Rs 30 lakhs.

Lamborghini Huracan:

The Lamborghini brand needs no introduction and the Huracan which a replacement of the Gallardo is powered by a V10 engine which pumps out a mind boggling 618.7 PS of power and 569Nm of twisting force. The baby Lamborghini is expected to be priced around Rs 3.43 lakhs.

The Fiat Avventura is a rugged crossover based on the Punto platform and it will be priced between Rs 5.5 to 8 lakhs . The Avventura crossover will be launched in October and will compete with the likes of Volkswagen Polo and Toyota Etios Cross. The Mini crossover gets an increases ride height of 205mm and black body cladding. The Avventura also gets an external spare wheel which makes it look like an SUV from the rear. Engine options include the 1.4 litre petrol motor which churns out 90 PS/114Nm and the diesel motor is the popular 1.3 litre multijet producing 93PS/209Nm.
