The 2014 Paris Motor show saw the unveiling of Lamborghini`s first plug-in-hybrid supercar the Asterion LPI 910-4. The Asterion is a conceptual car featuring Lamborghini`s PHEV (plug-in-hybrid) technology designed to reduce CO2 emissions. The new plug in hybrid supercar from the Lamborghini stable promises to keep the DNA of the car intact and at the same time it offers a smooth and unique driving experience with more power and an electric only range of 50 Km.
The car has been designed entirely in-house by the Italian car maker, the Asterion LPI 910-4 uses the design and technology found in the current range of Lamborghini products, adding cutting edge hybrid technology to create a Lambo that is new, different, drool worthy and yet one which looks unmistakably a Lamborghini. The Asterion is made of carbon fibre and features a 5.2 litre V10 FSI motor which is coupled to a quick shifting 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. This supercar with hybrid technology can do a 0-100 dash in 3 seconds and has a top whack of 320 km/h.
