Kinetic Safar e-rickshaw launched in India at Rs. 1.38 lacs

The e-rickshaw has been approved by ARAI for meeting all the necessary government standards laid down by Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR). Safar has an all steel body that reflects its sturdiness and robustness, it has muscular brakes, dual headlamp, speedometer and dashboard with a battery change indicator. In accordance to CMVR guidelines, Safar can ride at 25 km/hr and can comfortably carry four passengers excluding the driver. Safar has a gear-box system that enables it to climb flyovers easily unlike other e-rickshaws. This feature in particular has been certified by ARAI under AIS standard for the gradability. The Kinetic Safar e-rickshaw has a cabin with roof and glass windshield along with an electric wiper motor which makes it ride-able in all weathers. Kinetic Green has also joined hands with Exide for lead acid battery system, which ensures that the batteries can be serviced, and recycled at Exide`s service centres across the country.
Safar stands out in terms of special dealer network, engineering quality and warranty as well as service backup. The e-auto is being produced in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra at Kinetic Green’s state of the art facility and has an installed capacity of 4000 vehicles per month. 300 units of Kinetic Safar have already been delivered to UP government and talks to further increase it to 3000 units per month is in the pipeline.
With an aim to ban entry of polluting private vehicles Maharashtra State Tourism Department has signed an MoU with Kinetic Green, which will run its e-buses at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Asia’s largest national park thereby preserving its flora and fauna. The Company has future plans to introduce Safar Cargo which will be a low cost e-cart for green urban load distribution aimed at e-commerce and home deliveries. Kinetic Green has plans to commercialize Soleckshaw (model developed by Group Kinetic Engineering under NMITLI of CSIR) which is a high speed e-auto especially for big cities, and to manufacture e-autos with Lithium ions batteries for battery swapping and fast charging.
