You’ve been waiting all your life to buy that dream bike you saved as your desktop screensaver. Santa came a little late this year!  The Kawasaki Z800 is being sold for Rs. 55,000 cheaper than its current price. How and why you wonder? The Government has increased excise duty on 2-wheelers by 4%, and while other brands seem to be increasing the price of the bikes, Kawasaki has reduced the price by half a lakh!

Kawasaki probably dispatched a lot of Z800’s to their dealers in the end of 2014 and now are selling the 2014 models at a discount. The discount is only available till March, from April the bike will be sold at a higher price, making the customer pay that additional 4%.

Kawasaki Thailand, from where the bike is imported into India, has done some cost reduction in the production process. The entire benefit of this is being given to the consumers.

Kawasaki Z800 is a beast of a bike being sold in the country. Powering the bike   is an 806cc in-line four motor which churns out 113PS power and 83Nm of torque. The bike gets to 100kmph from a standstill in 3.5 Seconds and has a top speed of about 230kmph. The Kawasaki Z800 is the only bike in its segment and has no market competition.

The Z800 is now priced at Rs. 7.35 lakh ex-showroom, Pune. If you were looking out for a sign to get this bike, this is it!
