Kawasaki Ninja H2 launched in India; priced at Rs 29 Lakhs ex-showroom
India Kawasaki Motors has launched the awesome superbike, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 in India priced at Rs 29 Lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The launch happened at the Buddh International Circuit in New Delhi.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 specs reveal that this bike is pure Japanese mayhem ready to be unleashed at a blip of the throttle. Talking of engine specifications this street legal Kawasaki comes with a 998cc in-line 4 cylinder motor which bangs out 200PS of power at 11,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm of torque at 10,500 rpm. This means, the H2 which weighs 238 kgs has a power to weight ratio of 882 PS/tonne. Kawasaki Heavy Industries claims that the H2 is one of the fastest accelerating bikes in its segment.
The “Supercharged SuperSport” class motorcycle in the ninja series uses cutting edge technology and jaw dropping looks to grab your attention. The bike`s engine was built by Kawasaki in collaboration with their aerospace department. The H2 uses a supercharger to generate those mindboggling power and torque figures.
The bike is 1125mm tall, 770mm wide and 2085 mm long; it has a ground clearance of 130mm and a wheelbase of 1455mm. The low ground clearance could pose a threat while tackling Indian pothole laden roads. Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a 6-speed manual transmission. The bike has a top whack of 320 kmph (which is way more than anyone can handle). Some of the important features it comes with are – Intelligent ABS, launch control and electronic steering damper. Stopping power comes from 330mm discs at the front and 250mm discs at the rear.
Talking on the side lines of the launch event Kawasaki mentioned that it will launch two new products in India in 2015. They also mentioned that four new showrooms will be opened in India this year and Kawasaki branded apparel will soon be available in India.
