Jaguar to debut its F-type R AWD Bloodhound SSC RRV at the Coventry Motofest

Jaguar Ftype Bloodhound

Jaguar`s latest project is the F-type R AWD Bloodhound SSC. The Jaguar Land Rover special operations team has been working tirelessly on this one. The specially designed F-type will support the Bloodhound world land speed record. The car has a very tastefully done up paint job to support the event.

The speed fest this year promises to be bigger than ever. Organizers and local authorities shut down the Coventry ring road to the public and host a number of motor sporting activities there. As part of the speed fest, the Jaguar F-type will be taking hot laps around the track on the 30th and 31st of May. Along with this festival, Jaguar will be making its presense felt at the Goodwood festival of speed. Its motto/theme for this year is “Flat out and fearless: Racing on the edge” and it plans to do exactly that.

The Bloodhound was put through its paces with it going head to head along with a jet being flown at 500 knots at just 20 feet above the ground. This was a successful test for the communication system, and will be extremely helpful with the Bloodhound SSC.

Other vehicles at the Motofest will be a 1956 D-Type Long Nose and a 1966 XJ13, a 1974 Group 44 e-type, and a 1976 Broadsped XJ12 Coupe amongst others.
