India-bound Mercedes-Benz GLC interiors spied
While we update you about the upcoming launches in the next coming days and weeks, we bring to you the latest news from the house of Mercedes-Benz. The German brand with the three pointed star has confirmed the unveiling of the GLC on 17th June, 2015.
The Merc GLC will be made available in right hand drive for the Indian market. Interior spy shots of the vehicle reveal that the C-Class dashboard has been incorporated without any noticeable changes. The GLC gets the same centrally mounted freestanding LCD display, touchpad-equipped COMAND infotainment system and 5-round air-conditioner vents. The crossover also gets a black glossy centre console.
Similar to the C-Class model, the underpinnings of the GLC will support MRA (Mercedes Rear-Wheel Architecture), which helps to employ a wide variety of Powertrain options (including a plug-in hybrid). At the time of the launch, it is expected that the Mercedes GLC will come equipped with the turbo-charged 2.0 and 3.0 litre engines. A high performance AMG variant could be launched at a later stage with power coming from the AMG GT’s brutal 4.0 litre V8 engine.
While we can expect the Mercedes GLC to launch in the Indian market during the first half of the next year, it`s main rivals are the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.
