2016 Jaguar XF price in India starts at Rs. 49.50 lakh
Jaguar India has finally brought in and launched the 2016 XF sedan, at prices starting from Rs. 49.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2016 Jaguar XF is the company’s second launch this year, after they introduced the XE sedan at the auto expo in February. Interestingly, the all-new XF was also showcased at the said auto expo, however Jaguar decided to launch it later in order to attack the huge crowd of car buyers that floods the market every year around Diwali. Hence, the XF sedan has been introduced at the perfect time.
The XF sedan will be available in three trims and two engine options. Interested customers can head to any of the 23 Jaguar dealerships in the country to book the all-new XF, though deliveries will be starting from the end of this month. Currently, Jaguar dealerships are operational in Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kochi, Karnal, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Raipur. The company is also planning to expand this figure to 60 dealerships by the end of 2020.
The new Jaguar XF has been built in line with the company’s aluminium car construction philosophy, which has been under works for more than a decade. This Lightweight Aluminium Architecture makes the new Jaguar XF significantly lighter, stronger as well as stiffer than model it replaces. Jaguar claims that the new sedan is 28% stiffer than the outgoing one. This helps in improving the car’s handling characteristics. Moreover, the light weight construction also plays a major role in enhancing the car’s performance as well as fuel economy. The British automaker claims that the XF will be the most economical car in its segment. In order to achieve this weight optimization, aluminium has been used to form the body sides, bonnet and front wings of XF.
