Hyundai Creta variants and engine specs
The upcoming Hyundai Creta will make its global debut today in New Delhi. With just a few hours left for the launch, Hyundai India has released the official brochure of the Creta SUV. The official document gives details of the Creta`s safety features, styling and creature comforts on offer.
The Hyundai Creta will be powered by two diesels and one petrol motor. The 1.6 litre VTVT petrol engine develops a healthy 123PS of power output and 151 Nm of twisting force while the 1.6 litre CRDI motor bangs out 126 PS and 260 Nm of twist. The smaller 1.4 CRDI diesel unit on the other hand forks out 90PS and 220 Nm of torque. All the engines are mated to a 6 speed manual transmission while the 1.6 litre oil burner gets the option of a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The SUV will be available in a total of 10 variants and 6 trims namely – Base, S, S+, SX, SX+ and SX(O).
The top-spec trim is packed with features like ABS, EBD, ESC, HAC, six airbags, touch screen infotainment system, auto AC, reverse parking camera, leather wrapped steering wheel, foglights, 17-inch alloy wheels and the works.
The Sports Utility Vehicle will be available in 7 colour choices namely – Sleek Silver, Polar White, Red Passion, Mystic Blue, Pearl Beige, Phantom Black and Stardust.
The Hyundai Creta is expected to be priced between Rs 9.13 lakh – 14.18 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched the Suburban Sports Utility vehicle will rival the likes of the Mahindra Scorpio, Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and the XUV500.
