Husqvarna to unveil three new motorcycle models at the upcoming 2014 EICMA
The Swedish two-wheeler manufacturer, Husqvarna that was taken over by KTM in 2013 has recently released a press release saying that the company will be unveiling three new motorcycle models at the upcoming 2014 EICMA motorcycle show. The 2014 EICMA motorcycle show is scheduled to be held next month at Milan, Italy. Out of these three planned new motorcycle offerings from Husqvarna, one is known to be a new street bike with high displacement. On the other hand, the rest of the two motorcycles from the company are thought to be concept motorcycle models.
It is also reported that the new high displacement street motorbike is probably going be a production version of the 701 Prototype model which was displayed at the EICMA motorcycle show last year. The new high displacement bike is most probably going to get equipped with a 690cc, single cylinder engine that is similar to the engine that does the duty on the KTM 690 Duke motorcycle. However, the engine for this new Husqvarna bike will be tweaked in order to provide higher power output. The new heavy duty Husqvarna street bike is also speculated to be employing the same trellis frame that is seen on the KTM 690 Duke. While the mechanical tidbits might be shared by both these bikes from KTM, the new Husqvarna street bike will be remarkably different from that of the 690 Duke, as it will have a radically individual styling with no design cues from the 690 Duke. Moreover, it is also speculated that the new Husqvarna high displacement motorcycle will offer a number of high-tech features and advanced gadgets to charm the modern power bike lovers. Reports also confirm that the new Husqvarna bike will be packed to the brim with top notch motorcycle parts, to give the bike a premium look and feel.
The Swedish motorcycle maker has not revealed much detail about the company’s three motorcycles that will be getting unveiled soon. Though some of the details have been reported as speculations regarding the street bike model, the other two speculated concept motorcycles details have been kept in the dark. All that can be said is what the company has already said in its statement that these two bike model concepts will be very modern concepts for some really good futuristic models.
Based on the company statement we expect that the two concept bikes from Husqvarna would be feature a stylish design and futuristic elements, along with great lightweight construction that would not only make the bikes more manageable but also offer great performance. The new concept bikes should also offer a sneak peek into Husqvarna’s future generation design language. Precise information and more details on all the three Husqvarna bikes will be revealed at their official debut.
