Honda’s new 110cc bike spotted testing
With the start of the new financial year, different manufacturers in India are queuing up to sell new products, introduce new facelift models or test their upcoming models in the line-up. While we thought that Honda two-wheelers is going to limit its 110 cc portfolio to only three of its Dream bikes, guess what? The company has taken the expectation to another level with the first spy shots of a sportier Honda Dream motorcycle spotted testing at the company’s facility in India.
HMSI has never tried to stop its sales even though it’s Twister, a tried and tested 110 cc engine motorcycle introduced in the Indian market in 2009 turned out to be too fundamental for the country’s buyers. Though, now the Twister remains a pure made to order product. The new Honda motorcycle spotted, visually looks like the other Dream bikes with minute noticeable cosmetic changes.
From the spotted images, one can understand that its bikini fairing looks sharper than before. It features a new headlamp unit, new probable extension along its tank with new tail lamps and side panels. Other features noticed through the images are clear lens indicators, similar tail pipe like the preceding Dream bikes, chrome head shield and enclosed chain drive.

Though the Dream’s test mule had drum brakes on both the ends, we can expect Honda to offer optional front disc brakes once the bike is launched. Coming to its mechanicals, we can expect the Honda Dream Sport to be powered by the same 110 cc air-cooled single-cylinder HET engine churning out 8.2 PS of power and 8.63 NM of torque mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Being a Honda product, we can also expect the motorcycle to be fuel efficient. One thing which distinguishes the Dream Sport is that this spied bike comes with slightly sloping engine as opposed to the vertical unit on the Shine. This is a clear indicator that it belongs to the Dream series.
As per reports the bike is expected to be launched during the third quarter of 2015. We hope Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd, prices the Dream Sport competitively to rake in the moolah.
