Honda WR-V to be the cheapest car in India to get a sunroof

Honda will be launching the WR-V crossover in India on March 16, 2017. Media drives of the crossover have already taken place, and we now know that the top-end VX trims of the WR-V will be coming with electronic sunroof. It will thus become the most affordable car in the country to get a sunroof.

The WR-V is essentially a beefed up iteration of Honda’s premium hatchback offering – the Jazz. However, unlike other cars in this segment, the WR-V doesn’t just get some added body cladding. Instead, Honda has given comprehensive cosmetic updates to the car, which includes a completely new front fascia, a higher ground clearance, larger alloy wheels, and a new tail gate.

We expect the WR-V to be priced around Rs. 10 lakh. This will make it the cheapest car in the country to come with an electronic sunroof. Currently, the Honda City petrol is the most affordable car with a sunroof in India. It is priced at around Rs. 13 lakh.

When Honda officially launches the WR-V on March 16, India will become the first country to get the WR-V. In the latter half of this year, the crossover will also be introduced in Brazil.
