Honda Navi clocks 10,000 unit sales since launch

The Honda Navi has been welcomed in the gearless two wheeler market with open arms. We say so because this unconventionally designed scooter from the Japanese manufacturer has managed to clock 10,000 unit sales. Though there were similar reports of the number of dispatches of the Honda Navi reaching the 10,000 mark, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) have officially claimed that the Navi reached that milestone on June 8,2016. The manufacturer has also claimed that the total number of bookings of the Honda Navi have exceeded the 15,000 mark.

The above sales figure is a tremendous achievement for the Navi, keeping in mind the fact that Honda hasn’t yet started sales of this new scooter across India. The Navi is currently available in just 10 cities in the country. And with just 10 cities, clocking a sales number of 10,000 units in two months is worth applaud.

Seeing this surge in demand for the Navi, Honda has paced up its plans to make the Navi available in 35 cities till July end. This deadline has been carefully thought of, as the company is planning to target the students who would be enrolling into colleges around the same time period for their higher studies. These students would need a funky little commuter that is effortless to drive in the city and is fun to be with at the same time. And these are some characteristics that really define the Honda Navi.

HMSI has also announced that around 50% of the total number of orders for the Navi has been recorded with customization kits. Honda is selling a customization kit with the Navi, which consists of 12 parts that can be changed on the scooter. This helps the buyer to give his/her Navi a more modern and noble look. The kit is currently available in 3 colour options: orange, red and green, and retails at around Rs 5,000. Customers can even opt for individual parts rather than buying the whole kit.
