Honda Mobilio: Bookings Open
The Honda Mobilio is scheduled to be launched in India on 23rd July, which is Honda`s first ever MPV to be launched in India. Honda dealerships across India have now started accepting pre-orders for the Mobilio for a token amount of Rs. 50,000. Prices for the MPV are expected to start from Rs 6.5 Lakh and it will directly compete with the likes of Chevrolet Enjoy, Maruti Ertiga and Nissan Evalia.
The Mobilio is based on the Brio platform and looks very stylish for an MPV. Honda`s philosophy of man maximum and machine minimum has been executed to perfection on the Mobilio. The MPV from Honda offers plenty of space on the inside and even the third row can seat two adults comfortably. It measures 4,390mm in length, 1,680mm in width and 1,610mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,650mm.
The MPV will be available with two engine options – the tried and tested 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5 litre oil burner that does duty in the Amaze. The diesel powered Mobilio is claimed to have a mileage of 24.2Kmpl, which makes it the most fuel efficient vehicle in its segment. The ARAI figures for the petrol motor are 18.2 kmpl which is quite good for a vehicle of this size. The RS variant of the Mobilio will be launched at a later date which is essentially a sportier version of the MPV.
