Honda to Launch Mobilio MPV in July
Honda has been on a roll in India ever since it launched the 4th generation Honda City in India. It is the current best seller in the C segment sedans. Honda will be launching its much awaited Mobilio MPV in July to take on rivals like the Maruti Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy.
Honda has not been in a hurry to launch the Mobilio and has done extensive research before finalizing the production spec. The company claims that with the launch of Amaze and the fourth generation Honda City 83 % growth has been registered. Honda has gone in for localizing 90% of the parts in Amaze, City, Brio and the Mobilio is expected to follow suit.
Honda claims that the Mobilio will be a premium product and will offer families space, comfort and convenience in just the right size. The Mobilio is 4.5m Long and has a ground clearance of 185mm. The mobilio will come with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine would be the tried and tested .15 ivtec producing 119 ps of power which currently does duty in the Honda City, while the 100bhp diesel unit will be from the Amaze. A CVT variant of the petrol unit will also be on offer. Honda has confirmed that they will not be offering the Mobilio in a CNG/LPG variant.
Team motorcruze is sure Honda has come up with a winner on hands. The famous Honda philosophy of man minimum and machine maximum will make Mobilio deliver another chartbuster for Honda India.
