Honda India launches the new Gold Wing motorcycle at Rs. 28.5 lakhs
Japanese auto major, Honda’s two-wheeler wing has launched its new flagship bike in the domestic two-wheeler market, the Gold Wing GL1800 with a starting price tag of Rs. 28.5 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced the Gold Wing in two model variants, namely the Honda Gold Wing Audio Comfort and the Honda Gold Wing Airbag, which is the range topping model.
The new Honda Gold Wing’s Audio Comfort variant comes along with several premium and useful features like heated grips and separately adjustable heated seats. The Honda Gold Wing Audio Comfort is also a very convenient sports bike which comes with the capability of offering 150 litres of luggage space in its panniers, two of which are placed on the sides and one on the top. The Honda Gold Wing is a massive premium bike and its Audio Comfort variant comes equipped with 6 speakers and an awesome 80 watt surround sound system to offer great entertainment on the go and being a motorcycle it is surely going to keep the others around the bike on the road entertained as well.
The range topping Honda Gold Wing variant, the Gold Wing Airbag is obviously equipped with an airbag system as its name suggests. This premium bike comes with the safety measure that is usually offered in premium cars in India that is the protection of an airbag for bike’s front rider in the event of an accident. While the rider gets the safety of an airbag, the pillion rider also gets additional safety aspects, as the Honda Gold Wing Airbag comes with contoured seats along with grab rails, while nice comfortable footrests also make sure that both the passengers feel safe and get adequate comfort.
Both the variants of the new Honda Gold Wing sports bike are equipped with cruise control as well as electronic reverse gear, to facilitate easy back up of this massive and heavy motorcycle. The Gold Wing Honda bikes also come with other safety features including ABS and CBS or Combined Braking System as standard on both the variants. The braking power of this massive motorbike comes from two disc brakes at the front and a single disk brake at the rear. These brakes work efficiently to quickly halt the heavy bike weighing 420kg, when needed. Honda has also made this premium bike very sturdy with a lightweight aluminum frame, while a single-side swingarm is provided at the rear.
The massive and stunning looking new Honda Gold Wing premium bike comes equipped with a 6-cylinder horizontally opposed, 4-stroke motor engine with a displacement of 1,832cc. The new Honda Gold Wing motorcycle’s Audio Comfort variant is offered in dual tone red and black body paint and is priced at Rs. 28.50 lakhs, while the Gold Wing Airbag model is offered in a pristine white color and is tagged at Rs. 31.50 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
