The most awaited sports bike from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Private Limited (HMSI) is the CBR650F which will soon be going on sale in India and will be assembled at the company’s plant in Manesar, Haryana.

Everyone’s is eagerly waiting for the motorcycle to launch because it sports an in-line four-cylinder engine, becoming the second bike in the segment to have the same following the Benelli TNT 600i. The Honda CBR650F is expected to get the same specifications as the global model because localization levels for the bike are very low.

The fully-faired sports tourer will be powered by a 649cc, four-stroke, 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 87 BHP at 11,000 RPM and 6.4kg of peak torque at 8000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox, which shifts in the 1-down and 5-up pattern. The engine is expected to be tuned in such a way that power delivery will be instant and riding and overtaking in city conditions will be a breeze.

The CBR650F will ride on conventional 41mm telescopic forks both at the front and the rear end will use a preload adjustable monoshock setup. Braking duties will be carried out by 320mm dual disc brakes at the front giving decent stopping power, whereas, the rear will instead get a single-caliper 240mm disc brake set-up. ABS will be offered as standard on the very capable Honda machine.
