Honda CBR 650F bookings commence in India
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Ltd (HMSI) has opened bookings for its CBR 650F sports tourer bike in New Delhi and Mumbai. The bike can be yours by paying an amount of Rs. 50,000 as the booking amount. Soon, the motorcycle will be made available in other cities as well.
Honda will be launching the bike on 4th August during the Revfest. The Japanese auto manufacturer is also expected to reveal the refreshed CBR 150R and CBR 250R along with the CBR 650F. Powering the 650F is a 649cc motor that bangs out 85 bhp of power and 62 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike has a top speed of 225 kmph and delivers a fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl.
The CBR 650F will rival the likes of the Benelli TNT 600 GT and the Kawasaki Ninja 650. The Ninja is the current segment leader due to its pricing and if Honda can price it well, it definitely has a winner on its hands.
The Honda beats the other two bikes when it comes to performance. While the Benelli forks out 85bhp it produces lesser torque (55 Nm), the Ninja on the other hand churns out 71 bhp and 64 Nm of torque. Hence the CBR 650F has an advantage in terms of performance. The Honda and TNT 600 GT have an inline four engine while the Ninja has a twin cylinder motor. Apart from this localization levels on the bike will be around 14%.
We expect prices for the bike to be in the Rs 6 – 8 lakh range.
