Hero MotoCorp Launches Xtreme Sports At Rs. 72,725/- (Ex-Showroom, Delhi)
Hero MotoCorp has launched a newer, more powerful and sportier version of its hot selling 150cc motorcycle, Xtreme Sports. Though the bike quite does not live up to its radical name, but the company claims that it offers a sporty ride quality and best power in its class. The Hero Xtreme Sports is the company`s second product launch in the country for the month of June, the first being the Passion Pro commuter.
The updated Xtreme Sports gets many new features including the likes of a new front cowl with an aerodynamic visor, new wolf-eye styled headlamps with aggressive looking twin-LED pilot lamps and indicators. The seat is now split and in a step-up format, which claims to improve the sporty looks and riding comfort of the motorcycle as well. The exhaust pipe gets a new muffler cover that further helps in adding to the sportiness, along with its functional use to improve heat shielding. The new model Hero Xtreme Sports can be had in five colour options including Panther Black, Mercuric Silver, Fiery Red and the new range of Pyro Orange and Black-Red colours.
The bike is powered by a 149.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine which is tuned to give out a maximum power output of 15.6 BHP at 8500 RPM and a peak torque of 13.5 Nm at 7000 RPM. The Hero motorcycle can hit 60 km/hr from standstill in 4.7 seconds.
Other new features includes a Digi-analog console with side stand indicator and improved instrument cluster readability. Wide tubeless tyres drive the new model providing better grip levels than before, thereby improving the safety aspect of the bike as well. Front disc brakes measure 240 mm, while the rear discs measure 220 mm, providing adequate stopping power.
The Hero Xtreme Sports will be retailed through all Hero dealerships across the country, priced at Rs. 71,515/- (ex-showroom, Chennai), Rs. 71,729/- (ex-showroom, Bangalore), Rs. 72,725/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), Rs. 73,194/- (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and Rs. 73,902/- (ex-showroom, Kolkata).
A multi-media communication campaign for the Xtreme Sports will soon be started by Hero MotoCorp. Carrying the tagline ‘Live off the edge’, Hero’s brand ambassador and Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor will be featured in the campaign, which will premiere on television and other social media platforms soon.
