Harley Davidson on an expansion spree ; opens second dealership in Mumbai
In recent times, competition in the big bike category has been heating up in India, with every major bike manufacturer making an entry into the Indian market. Harley Davidson entered the Indian market in 2009 and opened its first dealership in July 2010. The company currently has 15 dealerships in India.
The company is on an expansion spree and has opened its second dealership outlet in Mumbai. The Seven Islands Harley dealership second outlet is situated within a short distance from their first Bandra outlet which was inaugurated in 2010. The new showroom has been specially designed for motoring enthusiasts in Mumbai. The facility will showcase the entire collection of Harley Davidson`s line up for India and will also feature Harley accessories, apparel and parts. The dealership features a special ‘Harley owners’ lift where customers can customize their motorcycles by trying out different accessories.
This new facility further enhances the American motorcycle maker`s accessibility across India. The current range of bikes sold by Harley Davidson in India are namely – Street 750, Superlow, Iron 883, Forty-Eight, Street Bob, Fat Bob, fat Boy, Fat Boy Special, Heritage Soft Tail Classic, Night Rod Special, and Street Glide. Harley bikes are available at a starting price of Rs. 4.30 lakhs, ex-Mumbai. The best aspect of the Harley motorbikes is that they are highly customizable and customers have the option to choose from a wide range of accessories and parts.
