Ford India has inaugurated its fourth parts distribution centre in Kolkata, the city of joy. Ford has PDC`s in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. With the opening of the new facility in Kolkata Ford expects to deliver spare parts to North east India at a faster pace. The new facility in Kolkata is spread across 3,200 sq. /m and will cater to 28 dealerships located in the North eastern regions.

Ford believes in providing a world class customer experience by being closer to the dealer network and improving part availability which in turn will lead to a lesser lead time thereby enhancing the overall customer experience. Automotive manufacturers now days are working hard to make the overall customer experience a pleasant one, right from the time a customer purchases a new vehicle to the after sales support. This builds customer confidence in the brand and increases the chances of a customer returning to the brand when they plan to purchase a new product.

Ford has hit the bull’s eye with the ecosport in India and will be launching the Figo compact sedan and the all-new Figo hatchback in the future. With the increase in product portfolio in the coming years the new parts distribution centre will help Ford reduce parts delivery time, thereby improving the overall customer experience.
