Fiat Avventura Bookings Open
Fiat is working hard to regain its momentum in the Indian car market. This year the Italian car maker has launched two new cars in the Indian market, the 2104 Fiat Linea and the Punto Evo. Fiat is all set to launch its third model “The Avventura” this year in India.
Fiat India has started accepting bookings for the Avventura crossover and the car is expected to be launched during the festive season. The Avventura was first revealed at the 2014 Auto expo held in New Delhi earlier this year. It is based on the Punto hatchback and comes with increased ground clearance of 205mm, muscular styling, body cladding, roof rails, projector headlamps, restyled front and rear bumpers, 16 inch alloy wheels and a tail gate mounted spare wheel at the rear to give it a rugged crossover look.
The interiors of the Avventura are similar to the 2014 Linea and the recently launched Punto Evo. There is a new digital compass and tilt-meter which is located on top of the AC vents. The crossover gets electric windows, climatronic air-conditioning, an AC vent for the rear seat passengers, audio system with MP3, Aux-in, CD support and blue tooth connectivity. The seats are a combination of leather and fabric which give the cabin a sporty feel.
Fiat will be offering the Avventura with two engine options namely – a 1.4 litre petrol engine capable of producing 89bhp and 115Nm of torque and the famous 1.3 litre diesel engine which pumps out 92bhp and a max torque of 209Nm. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Avventura looks much better than the Volkswagen Cross Polo and the Etios Cross. Fiat is banking heavily on this product and we believe the Avventura could be a game changer for Fiat India if it is priced aggressively.
