Ferrari to re-enter the Indian car market with its entire lineup
Italian car major Ferrari is preparing to launch its cars in Indian market. Back in the month of March 2011, Ferrari had chosen Shreyans Group as the famed Italian car maker’s sole official importer as well as distributor in India. However, the partnership agreement between Ferrari India and Shreyans Group ended in April this year, as there have been an increasing number of Ferrari customers in India who were expressing their discontent regarding the inferior after sales services.
Ferrari plans to take up things into its own hands as far as India is concerned and will not leave the company’s reputation in third party’s hands. As per sources close to the developments of Ferrari, the company wishes to have a firm base this time around in India and work under its own brand. As per the sources, the Italian high performance luxury car major is contemplating to keep its Indian market management under the responsibility of the company’s team based in Dubai. Ferrari plans to expand its footprint in all the major cities of India, and to start off with Ferrari would first open its dealership outlets in Mumbai and Delhi.
Officials from the company visited India recently to conduct meetings with all the important people who have good experience in sales as well as after sales services of luxury cars in India and can help the company in setting up its own dealership outlets successfully. In the city of Mumbai, the Italian premium car major has been negotiating with Navnit Motors, which has a long and good experience in handling super luxury car brands such as Rolls Royce, Land Rover and BMW. On the other hand in the city of Delhi, Ferrari is in progressive talks with Yadur Kapur who handles the celebrated luxury brands Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Rolls Royce in India.
Ferrari is expected to make the official announcements about its arrival in India in the coming weeks’ time. This is because in all probability the Italian car major wishes to commence the sales of its cars from the first quarter of the next year. Thus, expect Ferrari cars to hit the Indian shores with an improved after sales service by March 2015. As per reports Ferrari will be completely charming the auto enthusiasts by offering its entire range of cars in India that currently comprises of the Ferrari RR, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Ferrari 458 Spider and Ferrari California T.
A leading car journal in India has also reported that the Italian luxury car major will also bring in LaFerrari to India. However, as the LaFerrari is a limited edition car model and its limited stock of 499 units have already gotten off the shelf, it does not have much chances of launching in India, nevertheless there are a few fortunate Indians who have already managed to book a limited edition LaFerrari before it went out of stock.
