Ferrari now accepting bookings in India, Offering its entire range of sports cars
Italian supercar brand and probably the most famous name in the automotive industry, Ferrari has re-entered the Indian market for the second time. The company’s first innings in the country did not go to well with their first distributors the Shreyans Group, with whom they later terminated their contract. Ferrari had mentioned that they will be entering India again by setting up two dealerships. These two dealerships have been set up at Mumbai (Navnit Motors) and in New Delhi (Select Cars).
To everyone’s joy, Ferrari is retailing its entire portfolio of sports cars in the country. The cheapest is the California T which is priced at Rs. 3.30 crores, followed by the 488 GTB Coupe which costs Rs. 3.84 crores. The third model is the 458 Spider which costs Rs. 4.07 crores, followed by its sportier version, the 458 Speciale that costs Rs. 4.25 crores. The only four-seater to be offered by the company is the FF, which will set one back by Rs. 4.57 crores and the most expensive model is the amazingly fast F12 Berlinetta which costs Rs. 4.72 crores. Kindly note that all prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai. The company has only started accepting bookings at the moment and will start with deliveries July onwards.
With the majority of sports car manufacturers entering the Indian market, Ferrari’s entry has probably been the most-awaited one. The Italian giant will go head on with Lamborghini, who entered India a couple of years back and retails the Huracan, Aventador and Aventador Roadster models in the country. On another good note, Maserati will soon be coming to India as well. The Indian sports car industry has been witnessing steady growth over the past few years, as a result of which so many car makers are mulling to grab a piece of the ever so growing sales pie.
