Ferrari is all-set to launch its supercars in India
Legendary supercar manufacturer Ferrari is all set to start retailing its vehicles in India for the second time. The company will be launching its products with the California T becoming the most affordable offering at Rs. 3.3 crores (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Reminiscing the amazing Ferrari California that retailed from the 1950s to the 1960s, the California T carries the iconic convertible layout. The supercar will come powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that outputs 552 BHP of power. Carrying a unique feature known as variable boost management, this technology helps in providing increasing levels of torque as the driver switches to higher gears. This is a smart way of eliminating the turbo lag by a great extent as seen with engines that have turbochargers fitted on to them.
The Italian giant has already started accepting bookings for its vehicles in our country and two new showrooms – one each in Mumbai and Delhi will be coming up very soon. According to a few reports on Ferrari`s Indian news, such has been the response in the country that models allotted for this year have already been sold out and the company is only accepting bookings for 2016 now.
Except for the La Ferrari, all other Ferrari models will available for purchase in the country with the F-12 Berlinetta becoming the flagship offering at Rs. 4.72 crores (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Prices of the supercars will further increase depending on the type of customizations that the owner opts for.
