DSK Benelli (Tornado) 302R launched in India
Pune based DSK Benelli launched their 300cc sports bike, the 302R in the Indian market at Rs. 3.48 lakhs (ex-showroom). The DSK Benelli 302R has to compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamaha YZR-R3, which are both category front runners. The 302R will target the increasing bunch of enthusiasts looking at upgrading from their current 150-200cc bikes.
DSK Motorwheels’ Chairman, Shirish Kulkarni said that though the 302R is the company’s first full-faired bike, their aim to launch it in order to alter the standard of mid-sized category in the country. The company is certain that the DKS Benelli 302R will receive the same kind of splendid response that the previous DSK Benelli models have received. They are very much expecting an overwhelming reception from their customers.
The 302R will be available in three colour variants: Red Nero, Silver Verde and white Rosso. All the colour options will be sold though the 26 DSK Benelli dealerships countrywide.
This bike is powered by an inline two cylinder, four stroke DOHC engine which will give you 38.26 PS and 26.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with 6-speed gearbox. The front USD forks and rear mono-suspensions, will give you an impeccable riding experience on the 302R. The bike also comes with dual petal disc brakes in the front. A big featured missed by Yamaha YZF-R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300, are the dual channel ABS, which the 302R gets.
DSK Benelli is offering a four year unlimited kilometer warranty and an add on “Happy Savings Plan” with every 302R. The Happy Savings Plan will offer the purchaser warranty protection as well as the benefit of low ownership costs.
The bookings for the DSK Benelli 302R have already started in June this year for a token amount of Rs. 10,000. The company plans to commence the deliveries soon.
