Though it is just the beginning of 2016, many car manufacturers are looking to get more sales by offering different sorts of discounts on their respective models. Here’s a look at the models on discount –

SUVs

Mahindra XUV500
The best car from Mahindra, XUV500 is being offered with a discount of up to Rs. 15,000. Its automatic variants make for a very compelling buy.

Mahindra TUV300
The sub-4 metre compact SUV has been selling like hot cakes. But the deal is now even sweeter as the company is now giving the car a discount of Rs. 20,000.

Mahindra Scorpio
The Scorpio can be purchased this month with a discount of Rs. 35,000. The big discount surely makes the Scorpio an even attractive proposition in addition to the optional 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive configurations.

SsangYong Rexton
For sale for a long time now, the Rexton has not become a major hit in the Indian car market. To get more sales, Mahindra owned SsangYong is offering the 2.7-litre premium SUV with a price cut of Rs. 50,000 this February.

Honda CR-V
Not being able to get sales in the extremely competitive premium SUV space that is dominated by the Toyota Fortuner, the petrol SUV has been more of a disappointment for the extremely reliable Honda brand. However, the CR-V can be bought with a discount of Rs. 40,000.

MPVs

Toyota Innova
The MPV king of the Indian market will soon be getting the new generation model in India. It will be priced at a premium as compared to the outgoing model. So for those who are planning to buy the Innova should go ahead with the move at the earliest as the MPV is available with a price cut of Rs. 50,000.

Sedans

Toyota Corolla Altis
The best-selling D-segment sedan in India, Corolla Altis is currently available with a discount of Rs. 50,000. Priced from Rs. 13.06 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the sedan makes for a convincing buy thanks to the optional petrol and diesel engines in addition to the optional automatic variant that can be had with the petrol engine only.

Hyundai Elantra
Having lost out to the new Toyota Corolla Altis in recent times, the Elantra is currently coming with a hefty discount of Rs. 75,000. Hyundai is looking to find many new customers and the discount will surely help the Korean company to aid the same.

Volkswagen Jetta
The most safety feature rich car in its segment with six airbags being offered as standard, the Jetta can be purchased with a discount amounting to a massive Rs. 85,000. The super slick 6-speed DSG automatic transmission that comes with the 2.0-litre diesel engine surely calls for a buy.

Skoda Octavia
The most expensive car in the D-segment with prices starting at Rs. 16.07 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), customers can save up to Rs. 65,000 on the Octavia. The variant and feature rich executive sedan excels in the visual domain as well. However, Skoda’s after sales service brings its attractiveness a notch down.

Toyota Etios Cross
Visually rugged version of the Etios hatchback is currently being offered with a price cut of Rs. 30,000. With three engine options – 1.2-lite petrol (79 BHP), 1.5-litre petrol (89 BHP) and 1.4-litre diesel (68 BHP); prices for the petrol Etios Cross starts at Rs. 6.30 lakhs, while the diesel range starts from Rs. 7.48 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).

Hyundai i20 Active
The i20 Active is being offered with a discount of Rs. 15,000. Though the amount isn’t so high, it still is the most value-for-money car in its class.

Volkswagen Cross Polo can be purchased for a discount of Rs. 20,000 this month.
