Brabus tuned Mercedes AMG GT S pumps out a gargantuan 600 PS
The Mercedes AMG GT is already a very fast car. The beastly V8 engine makes about 503 bhp and has a 0-100 kmph time of 3.8 seconds. That’s astonishingly fast for normal folk and is more than ample power to make your heart skip a beat.
But Brabus decided that their customers wouldn’t be happy with the stock offering, so they went ahead and did some tinkering with the car. Now all that tinkering has resulted in a mammoth increase of 88bhp and 100Nm of torque. That puts the final power output at 592 HP and 750Nm of torque. Phew, Brabus customers are not normal folk clearly.
The Brabus Mercedes AMG GT S sprints to 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds from standstill and has a staggering top speed of 325kmph.
So how did they achieve this?
Brabus went ahead and made a Brabus PowerXtra B40-600 performance kit for the Mercedes AMG GT-S. What this does is, it increases the power output from the engine by remapping the injection, ignition and also increasing the boost pressure. This is paired along with the special sports quad exhaust, which is made from extremely lightweight titanium. This exhaust system weighs 40% lighter than the stock exhaust system, and has better power delivery. The exhaust system also has electronically controlled butterfly valves, which can reduce the noise from the exhaust (when you don’t want to wake up the entire neighborhood).
The added power needs an upgraded suspension and Brabus has gone ahead and done that. The car is now lower by 0.6in as compared to the stock vehicle.
The styling package makes sure the car looks as fast as it goes. The upgraded front bumper has air ducts to make sure the engine remains cool. The aggressive spoiler adds to the stance of the vehicle. The Mercedes AMG GT-S tuned by Brabus also has ultra-light Monoblock F Forged wheels that are 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear.
As for the interiors, there are a number of customizable options available. Customers can choose from exclusive Brabus accessories, chrome plated-aluminum pedals and aluminum paddle shifters amongst other things. The leather on the seats can be customized to the owner’s choice of colour, design and type of leather. The wood panels used on the front dashboard can be personalized too!
The Brabus Mercedes AMG GT S looks as fast as it goes, no updates of the launch or when it will hit Indian shores (if it does).
