BMW X5 M Sport launched in India at Rs. 75.90 lakhs
BMW India launches the more sportier looking X5 M Sport in the country with no changes to the mechanicals.
After launching the X5 M not so long back, BMW has just launched another new version of the same SUV – X5 xDrive30d M Sport in our country. Now available for sale in all company showrooms across the country at a price tag of Rs. 75.90 lakhs (ex-showroom), BMW is locally producing the SUV at its plant in Chennai.
Exterior and Interior
The new version makes the X5 look even sportier thanks to the M Sport package that includes various bits like BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line, M alloy wheels, M chrome tailpipe cover, choice of three different paint colours (with exclusive colour Carbon Black Metallic), M Aerodynamic Package and M car key. Other exterior paint options include: metallic (Carbon Black and Space Grey) and non-metallic (Alpine White) choices.
The BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport seems like a much better buy than its standard counterpart owing to the M Aerodynamics package that includes aero blades, air curtains and an air breather to make the car more aerodynamic. The M light alloy wheels further help in making the car more eager to move. Next is the optional Adaptive M Suspension which helps in improving driving pleasure with a rear air suspension and Dynamic Damper Control.
Engine and Performance
Powering the SUV is a 3.0-litre, turbocharged, in-line 6-cylinder, common rail direct injection diesel engine that makes available a good 258 BHP of power and 560 Nm of torque. Technologies like launch control help in further strengthening the motor’s cause. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automated gearbox that offers smooth and accurate gear shifts. This X5 completes the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 6.9 seconds, going all the way up to a top speed of 230 km/hr.
Being a luxury SUV, the BMW X5 M Sport comes with the following list of features:
· Full colour BMW heads-up display
· 600W, 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system
· Park Distance Control with front and rear cameras
· BMW Navigation Professional with integrated 26 cm colour display, integrated GPS and 3D maps.
The M Sport feels like a very safe car thanks to a long list of safety tech including 6 airbags, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), crash sensor, integrated emergency spare wheel, electronic vehicle immobilizer, side impact protection, ABS and six airbags.
The company says that the new BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport offers nothing but premium quality, athletic design, dynamic driving features and supreme performance, with the last being the main idea behind its very existence.
