BMW M5 facelift spied
BMW continues to test the M5 facelift with the car shedding some of its camouflage and revealing a bit more to the naked eye. This time around, the good folks at Autoblog have managed to capture the BMW M5 facelift on camera giving us more details of what to expect. As is evident from the spy shots, the super sedan is seen wearing camouflage, however the eagle-eyed photographer did manage to capture more details of the headlights, taillights and also the much apparent signs of BMW M5’s character. The previous images of the next-gen M5 which surfaced till date gave us a clear picture of its production 5 series wheels, tiny squad exhaust pipes, as well as sporty black wheels. Well, as the BMW M5 facelift looks impatient to divulge more details, minimal camouflage was seen on the roof rails, pillars and rear window.
The super sedan this time appeared comparatively less disguised than before and offered a sneak peek of its humble tweaks. Another interesting detail captured is the black wheel with BMW M5’s trademark blue callipers which is seen in the current M5 Competition Package. The black vinyl patches are no longer seen covering the tweaked front fascia which reveals that the front grille is now bigger and so is the air intake. The LED running lamps have also been updated and now appear square-shaped. The rear end receives less updates but there lies high expectation with regards to the design of the tail-lights.
The detailing of the rear lamps is still unclear. One of the spied images reveals illuminated rear turn signals that pin points to the fact that there is something striking in between the new M4 GTS OLED units and the BMW M4’s normal LEDs. One thing is for sure that the promising new OLED tech of BMW is sure to mushroom, we will have to wait a bit longer to see if that happens with the M5 facelift. The mystery behind the rear turn signals will die down once more spy images emerge or when the carmaker decides to raise the curtain, which ever happens first. Stay tuned to MotorCruze for more dope on the BMW M5 facelift.
