Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 Ad – Amazing behind the scenes footage
Bajaj is on a roll in India having recently launched the Pulsar RS 200 and Pulsar AS 200. In topic is the Pulsar AS 200 which serves as a very good sports tourer. Its design is quite favorable and the bike has received a good response in our country. For promoting the motorcycle, Bajaj shot the AS 200’s TV commercial while celebrating the famous La Tomatina festival held annually in Spain. The advertisement has received a positive response as a result of which Bajaj has just uploaded a video showcasing the making of the commercial.
The advertisement involved a crew of 70 members, 180 extras and 19 tons of tomatoes. The video is shot among people who are celebrating the festival when the bike shows up having to ride through all the havoc. In the process, the rider and the Pulsar AS 200 goes over ramps, jumps off boxes, does donuts (over tomatoes) to demonstrate its abilities. A lot of hard work was put into making the advert and it did come off well.
The Pulsar AS 200 is based on the Pulsar 200 NS and rides on a new perimeter frame that is set to feature on future Pulsars as well. It gets its power from a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine generating a decent 23.5 PS of power, 18.35 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are performed by a telescopic fork setup at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear. The motorcycle has a good power to weight ratio as it weighs about 153 kgs, helping the bike to complete the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 10.5 seconds.
The reason for shooting the advertisement in Spain while keeping the La Tomatina festival in mind is due to the fact that both the festival and the bike demonstrate fun and adventure.
