Bajaj Launches Platina Comfortec at Rs 43,241

It’s raining Bajaj model these days, first it was the Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220, then Avenger Street 150 and now it’s Platina ComforTec! It is being speculated that the Platina Comfortec has bid adieu to the ES model of Platina. The updated models launched these days are all talk no show but not Bajaj Platina Comfortec; it comes with revised seat, updated suspension and is also high on comfort level as compared to others in the segment. The economy commuter is available in three different colors- Black, Blue and Red. Available in two variants namely- Platina 100 Alloy KS and Platina 100 Alloy ES, it has been priced at Rs 45,252 and Rs 43,241 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

On the design front, nothing much has changed just that you will find a new Platina name decal on the golden coloured tank, new foot pads for pillion rider, also the graphics on the tail piece looks different. The Platinaq Comfortec derives power from the DTS-I 102 cc unit that is capable of producing 8.2 PS power at 7500 rpm and 8.6 Nm torque at 5000 rpm. Transmission option available is a 4-speed gearbox. The ARAI-rated fuel economy of 104 kmpl offered by Platina Comfortec is segment best. The on-road mileage figure offered is around 85- 90 kmpl.

As mentioned above, the economy commuter offers 28% longer double spring rear suspension and 28% longer front suspension when compared to a leading 100 cc (undisclosed) motorcycle. The Platina Comfortec owing to rubber foot pads and ‘Spring soft’ seat was found 20% more resistant to jerks when tested against the leading 100 cc (undisclosed) bike.
