Bajaj launches CT 100 priced at Rs 36,828
Bajaj re-launched its most affordable motorcycle, the CT 100 in the Indian market priced at Rs 36,828 (ex-Mumbai). The updated Bajaj CT 100 can be purchased with Alloy wheels as well as a Kick starter, with the former tagged at Rs 39,912.
The bike is powered by a 99.27 cc motor that bangs out 8.2PS of power and 8.04 Nm of torque mated to a 4 speed transmission. Bajaj Auto claims it has a top speed of 90kmph and an unmatched fuel efficiency of 89.5 kmpl. The CT 100 uses the same Tubular Single down Tube with Lower Cradle frame which is present on the recently launched Platina 100 ES. Both the motorcycles feature 110mm disc brakes at the front and back, with no option of installing a front disc brake. Both the models are different from each other when compared closely.
The Bajaj CT 100 has lower toque compared to the Platina 100ES which produces 8.6Nm, it does not get DTS-i and exhaustec, while the Platina gets an electric starter as well. The design of the fuel tank is slightly different and the capacity of the CT 100 is lower at 10.5 when compared to the Platina`s 11.5 litre tank. The Platina boasts of a higher fuel efficiency (96.9kmpl), which is 7.4 kmpl more than the CT. The tyres on the CT are Eurogrip while the Platina comes with TVS ATT 1050. The Kerb weight of both the bikes is the same but the Platina 100ES has a better ground clearance (190mm) and a longer wheelbase (1250mm).
The ex-showroom price difference between both the bikes is 10,000 which makes the CT better value for money.
