Bajaj experiences a growth of 12 percent in February 2016

One of the country’s leading vehicle manufacturers, Bajaj is basking in the success after having launched various new models last year. With its two-wheeler division doing well thanks to the best-selling Pulsar 150 DTSi model, Bajaj Auto has seen a rise in overall sales of a good 12 percent for the month of February 2016.

This can mainly be attributed to the crazy 37 percent growth in the commercial vehicle category. The company sold 37,437 units last month as against 27,242 units sold in the same month last year. The two-wheeler category on the other hand has seen a rise in sales of 9 percent year on year. This is thanks to the introduction of various new products including the latest V15 and Avenger 150 other than the fully-faired Pulsar 200 SS. Two-wheeler sales figures for February 2016 stood at 2,35,959 units, which saw a rise of almost 20,000 units as compared to February 2015.

However, things do not look very sweet in terms of export. Bajaj saw a dip is sales of 12 percent in the export department owing to a weakening demand from European markets. Exports figure stood at 98,959 units last month.

Nevertheless, with an overall sale of 30, 94,003 units, Bajaj is having a good time with most of its latest products having received a good response in the Indian market in recent times.
