Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 gets a new Desert Gold color option
Bajaj Motors had launched the new Avenger series that includes the 220 street, 220 cruise and 150 street the previous year, and since then the bike has proved to be quite successful in the domestic market. The popularity of these mid-ranged cruisers has been on the rise with people opting for comfortable and powerful yet affordable motorcycles. Bajaj in order to further promote the Avenger series has launched an all-new Desert Gold paint scheme for the Avenger Cruise 220 variant only.
This new gold colored Avenger 220 looks enticing and reminds us of the old Yamaha Enticer that was offered in a similar color when the bike was in production. The Desert Gold Avenger Cruise 220 also gets a brown colored seat to match the paint scheme. Apart from the new color choice, no mechanical changes have been made to the bike. As mentioned above, this new paint job is only for the Cruise 220 model, however Bajaj has confirmed new colors for the other models as well which are expected to be launched pretty soon. Besides this, the Avenger series is offered in three-color options namely Midnight Blue, Matte Black and Divine Black.
The Avenger 220 street and 220 Cruise are powered by a 220cc single cylinder engine that churns out 8bhp of power and 17.5Nm of peak torque, however their younger sibling the 150 Street comes with a 149.5cc single cylinder air cooled motor that produces 14.3bhp of power and 12.5Nm of peak torque. Both the engine variants are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission setup.
This newly launched Desert Gold Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is priced at Rs.85, 497 (ex-Showroom Delhi).
