2017 Audi TT RS front unveiled at Beijing Motor Show

The Audi TT RS needs no introduction. Recently at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show the German carmaker has revealed the 2017 TT RS which is available in both coupe and roadster versions. The new TT RS gets a bump in power with the sports car now developing 395 bhp and 480 Nm of torque. The things that make it stand out, from its predecessor are the matrix type OLED headlamps an updated front bumper while the rear gets the hallmark oval exhaust pipes.

There are a few add-ons to the 2017 Audi TT RS, which include a new permanent rear wing for high speed stability of the car, upgraded carbon fiber ORVM caps and new side skirts. As mentioned above the updated TT RS gets its juice from a powerful and upgraded 2.5L 5-cylinder petrol engine that exhales 395 horses and 480Nm of torque. Apart from this the 2017 Audi TT RS has shed about 10kgs of its overall weight making it somewhat lighter, faster and more agile than the previous model. All this power is channelized to all the wheels through Audi’s Quattro All-Wheel Drive system that is tuned to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. As far as the braking department is concerned, the 19” stock wheels that could be traded for optional 20” sportier wheels are equipped with 370mm ceramic disc brakes.

The Audi TT RS cracks the 0-100 km/h run in 3.7 seconds for the coupe version which is just 0.2 seconds slower than Audi’s flagship ultimate road legal sports car, the R8 V10 coupe. All this is achieved through extraordinary engineering done by German engineers, so as to make this sports car a lethal combination of looks and performance.
