Arjun Maini to make FIA European F3 debut
Arjun Maini is a 17 year old from Bangalore, who has been signed up by Van Amersfoot racing to compete in the FIA European F3 2015 season. Van Amersfoot is a reputed racing team, which has been around since 1975 and has been a major stepping-stone for many drivers in the past. Arjun will be replacing Max Verstappen, who was picked up Scuderia Toro Rosso to compete in the 2015 F1 season. That makes Max the youngest driver in the history of the sport.
The 17 year old from Bangalore has shown great promise. Van Amersfoot was particularly impressed with the lads timing in the Toyota racing series which was held in New Zealand. He will be racing for the team alongside 2 other very able drivers, Alessio Lorandi (his former karting team-mate) and Charles Leclerc.
Arjun seemed very excited about his F3 debut, and said he was particularly looking to learn and comprehend as much as possible in his debut season. This could be a huge steeping stone for a young driver with so much talent. We wish him the best of luck. He will be making the country proud by representing us on this international platform, and also will go to show what a giant leap motorsports has taken in India!
