Actor Keanu Reeves’ Arch Motorcycle Company unveils its first bike: The KRGT-1
We all know that Keanu Reeves is a great actor, but there is one more passion that he has. The actor is a passionate motorcyclist, so along with chopper expert Hollinger he`s built a bike of his dreams called the KRGT-1 and started a motorcycle company called Arch Motorcycle to manufacture the bike.
The KRGT-1 is the first bike from the Arch Motorcycle Company and it isn`t cheap and will blow a hole in your pocket. The bike costs $78,000, is a chopper inspired naked sports bike powered by a 2 litre S&S v-twin engine with a body that’s made up of billet aluminium. The bike is a conglomeration of a cruiser and naked sports bike. The KRGT-1 pumps out 122Nm of torque from its 2, 032cc v-twin engine. It`s got the forward foot pegs of a chopper which exhibits a laid back riding position. The rear tyre is a very fat 240-section and everything on the motorcycle is carved out of billet aluminum. The exhaust pipes look very sporty and have a triangular profile that screams “lean me over”.
The KRGT-1 gets fully adjustable Ohlin unit forks, fully adjustable shocks by Race Tech, ultra-light carbon fibre wheels and twin ISR 6-piston monobloc radial brakes. This bike has been designed to be ridden hard and the silver coloured KRGT-1 looks damn good. The KRGT-1 weighs a good 244 kg which is heavy for a sports bike.
This isn`t the usual sports bike, it`s Keanu`s. It sure is expensive at US$78,000 and only someone with deep pockets can purchase it, but the fuel tank itself takes a whopping 66 hours to carve out of a giant 534 block of billet and the attention to detail on this bike is absolutely stunning. Keanu Reeves is a biking enthusiast and has spent some of his movie money into producing this dream bike and sharing it with the rest of the world.
