2017 Renault Duster Dakar Edition launched in Brazilian Market
French car maker Renault introduces a new iteration in the Brazilian market of the Renault Duster Dakar Edition. For the uninitiated, the Dakar edition marks respect to one of the most gut-churning cross country rallies organized every year- the Dakar Rally. The 2017 Duster Dakar edition is being offered in the price range of BRL 74,090 to BRL 87,220. The new Duster Dakar is seen sporting subtle changes and is slightly different from the previous model.
What remains unchanged are the Dakar Rally logo, Outsider kit option and Dakar Rally map across the lower profile of the car. The Outsider kit option adds to the muscular body cladding across the side profile and also additional pair of fog lamps placed on the bumper protection. The list of interior feature includes AUX and USB input, Bluetooth connectivity, audio system with four speakers, 7-inch MEDIANAV touchscreen featuring GPS, electric mirrors and parking sensors.

The subtle changes include beige dashboard panel along with black fabric/leather combinations and contrast white stitching on the interiors. It also gets new black ORVM caps and 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels. Apart from these, a lot of exclusive features have been carried over from the previous Duster Dakar. Talking about the mechanicals, the Brazilian-spec Duster is available in 1.6-L and 2.0-L flex –fuel units mated to manual and automatic transmissions. Please note that the automatic transmission is exclusive eto 2.0-L engine only. The 2.0-L top-spec model also gets a 4WD system.
