2017 Land Rover Discovery teased
It is a trend these days to release teasers of the upcoming vehicles ahead of the official launch at some prestigious auto shows like the upcoming Paris Motor Show. So here’s the most revealing teaser image yet of the 2017 Land Rover Discovery which is just weeks away from the world premiere at the Paris Motor Show on 28th September 2016. The new-gen SUV enters the fifth generation and will be seen flaunting all-new design and features just like the Range Rover Evoque, Land Discovery Sport, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
2017 Land Rover Discovery Technical Specifications
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery is expected to include variety of powertrains like a 2.0-L, 4-cylinder petrol engine, a 3.0-L, 6-cylinder petrol and diesel engine. Customers will have an option to choose in between a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The AWD (all-wheel drive) system will be offered as standard.
2017 Land Rover Exterior and Interior
If you happen to remember the new-gen Land Rover Discovery Vision concept presented first in 2014, well the final production version’s exterior details as seen in the spy images looks just the same. The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are fabricated on the Premium Lightweight Architecture (PLA) platform and so is the fifth-generation Discovery.
Inside the cabin, the new-gen SUV features HDC (Hill Descent Control), TSA (Trailer Stability Assist), TCS (Traction Control System), RSC (Roll Stability Control) and others. List of other important features include InControl infotainment system having colored touchscreen display, Meridian Audio surround system and EDC (Engine Drag Torque Control). The Land Rover Discovery also gets ‘Stadium seating’ layout and stepped roof creating comfortable seating and ample space for 7 adult passengers.
2017 Land Rover Discovery Expected Launch in India
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery is expected to hit the domestic car market sometime next year. However, the company hasn’t disclosed any details yet.
2017 Land Rover Discovery Expected Price in India
The existing Land Rover Discovery is available in SE trim tagged at Rs 1.14 crore and HSE trim offered at Rs 1.22 crore (all prices, ex-showroom). The fifth-generation SUV is expected to be a little more pricey than the current model and is expected to be tagged somewhere around Rs 1.20 crore to Rs 1.30 crore.
