2016 Triumph Tiger Sport Specs and Price revealed
Triumph had recently unveiled the 2016 Tiger Sport, its sports tourer bike based on the company`s highly popular motorbike the Speed Triple. Recently, the British motorcycle marque has revealed the specifications and the price of this much-awaited Triumph Tiger Sport 2016.
The Tiger Sport is based on the Speed Triple, however there are loads and loads of enhancements to its mechanicals. Although both the bikes boast of the same inline three-cylinder 1050cc engine unit, but all the cylinder heads, piston design etc. have been changed for the Triumph Tiger Sport 2016. This upgraded motor, now churns out a hefty 125bhp of max power at 9475rpm and a peak torque of 106Nm at 7000rpm. In addition other useful features on the bike are ride by wire control, switchable traction control setup, a new ECU unit, standard ABS setup and different riding modes which include-road, rain and sport that alter the throttle response and torque produced by the engine. The exhaust system has been tweaked as well that has helped to slightly bump up the efficiency figures of the bike. In addition, a tinted windscreen along with sporty looking hand guards is provided on the Tiger Sport 2016 to give it a more aggressive stance.
The sports tourer is priced at GBP 10300 (approximately Rs.9.8 lacs) in the UK. Although Triumph sells many of its models in the Indian market, the 2016 Tiger Sport may not be introduced in the country.
