British motorcycle giant Triumph Motorcycles has been around for quite some time now and has slowly gained immense popularity across the world for producing amazing picture perfect bikes. Recently, Triumph unveiled its much anticipated touring bike the Tiger Sport. The 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport 1050 is slotted between the Tiger 800 series and the Tiger Explorer in the company`s line-up.

As far as the fit and finish of the bike is concerned, the British manufacturer has made all the efforts in order to make the bike look more aggressive and carry that touring stance throughout. The front of the bike is beefed up with a neat design, and the scooped tank along with the windshield give it a purposeful look. The Tiger Sport features twin-beam headlights and a longer visor, the single wide more comfortable seat helps in proper positioning of the rider for those long drives. Features wise the bike gets ABS, multi-level traction control, cruise control, Slipper clutch, upgraded free-flow exhaust system, grippier foot pegs, redesigned rear-view mirrors and new matt-black or aluminum-silver paintjobs. Apart from this the new bike also gets three driving modes – Rain, Road and Sport.

The heart of the Tiger Sport boasts a 1050cc in-line three cylinder engine which is the same unit that does duty in the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple. The company has however tweaked the engine in order to extract more power, better efficiency and improved torque in the new Tiger Sport. This new bike would be the perfect companion for those small trips in the city and for those long touring journeys across the countryside.

Triumph currently retails the Tiger 800 and Explorer models in the country, but the launch of the Tiger Sport in India is not expected to happen anytime soon.
